I was a little lost with them being shifters and didn't really understand how it worked, but was happy that they were able to sort through it. It's a good story-good plot, good characters, and certainly a lot of sexual energy and action between Cole and Jonah. Until Jonah's horse and Cole's wolf can learn to combine their strengths, there will always be something missing.įirst of all, I have to say that I'm not normally a shifter fan, but I do enjoy Silvia's writing so I gave it a chance. Jonah understands that in order for Cole to truly be able to love him, Cole must first learn to accept and love himself. He loves Cole too, and isn't afraid of his wolf. He knows he's different, but he loves his horse nature. He's always seen himself as weak, but he isn't. He's braver than he realizes and stronger as well. Until Jonah came along, the motivation to do so didn't exist, but now that Jonah is in the picture, Cole's ability to incorporate his internal struggle becomes vital. He has to face his fears about his wolf side in order to conquer and embrace them. Cole is brave, passionate, and fiercely loyal, but he hasn't accepted an important part of himself which can't and won't be denied forever. When he falls in love with Jonah who is a horse shifter, the need to get things under control is obvious because horses and wolves don't mix.Ĭole is a complicated man.
